Lucknow

Lucknow is no ordinary city. Its mythological beginnings go back over two millennia and for nearly two hundred and fifty years now, it has remained the capital of the most populous country subdivision of its size on the planet and since independence, the political crucible of India.
Underneath its modern chaos lies the architectural and cultural framework of an older city, perceivable to those who know its past and revealing itself only to those who seek it.

We attended two walks with him, Old Lucknow city tour and Bara Imambara. We started at the Bara Imambara ,learning the history behind these famous monuments, Bara Imambara, Teelewali Masjid and Rumi Darwaza. We did the old Lucknow city walk exploring the chowk area of Lucknow , also explored the local food while exploring chowk. Narration and articulation of Mr. Samir Kher is simply superb and the entire walk was very interesting.
Thanks Robaroo, thank you Samirji.

Attended two walks (War Chronicles and Palace Complexes) by Deep Dive India on my recent trip to Lucknow, both the walks were wonderfully curated and very informative.

We were looking for something other than familiar stores and restaurants that would help us connect with the city better. Samir ji did exactly that with his artful storytelling.

We were with him for over 3 hours and yet did not get bored even for a second. We did a walk of the Residency and he breathed life into our imagination about the mutiny. in the end, we had the best history immersion as he gave us the chronological chain of events that led to the city and its present culture.

Thanks to Roobaroo Walks for connecting us with a stellar storyteller!
